Ibn 'Uthaymeen; class slides. The one doing Qiran or Ifrad may delay the Sa'y until after Tawaf al-Ifadah.
Which is best?
Tamattu' is best: the Prophet ﷺ ordered those who had not brought sacrificial animals to change their intention to 'Umrah and leave ihram, and said: "If I had not brought the sacrificial animal, I would have done what I ordered you to do." One doing Qiran or Ifrad may change to Tamattu', even after Tawaf and Sa'y.
Ifrad is best: the Prophet ﷺ did Ifrad in the Farewell Hajj and the khalifahs after him continued it, and it needs no sacrifice to make it up.
This course follows Tamattu', as in the class lecture, and the form the Prophet ﷺ encouraged.
The hady and the fasting
The one doing Tamattu' or Qiran slaughters a hady: a sheep, or a seventh of a camel or cow. The people of Makkah do not owe it.
Risalah
