Allah Made Everything
Lesson Content
Sit with your child and read each lesson aloud. Short sentences are written for your child to hear; the boxes give you an activity and two questions to talk about. The quiz at the end is read together: you read the question, your child chooses. One lesson a week is a good pace.
Read together
Look around you. Who made the sun that gives us light? Who made the rain, the trees and the apples on them? Who made the birds, the cats and the fish in the sea?
Allah made all of them. Allah made the sky and the earth. Allah made you, your mother and your father. Nobody can make a sun, a tree or a bird. Only Allah can.
There is only one Allah. He has no mother, no father and no children. Nobody is like Allah. Allah taught us a short sūrah that says this. It is called Sūrat al-Ikhlāṣ.
Go for a short walk or look out of the window. Find five things that Allah made, for example a cloud, a tree, a bird, a flower and a stone. For each one say: "Allah made it."
- What is the most beautiful thing Allah made, do you think?
- Can a person make a sun? Who made the sun?
What we learned
- Allah made everything: the sky, the earth, the animals and us.
- There is only one Allah, and nobody is like Him.
- Sūrat al-Ikhlāṣ tells us that Allah is One.
