Tajweed Basics
Learn to recite the Qur'an correctly, rule by rule, in the riwayah of Hafs 'an 'Asim. Based on al-Munir fi Ahkam at-Tajweed (Jam'iyyat al-Muhafazah 'ala al-Qur'an al-Karim, Jordan): what tajweed is and why it matters, isti'adhah and basmalah, the makharij and sifat of the letters, nun and mim sakinah, the types of madd, heavy and light letters, idgham and the sakin lam, and how to stop and start. Every rule comes with Qur'anic examples. Each lesson has written notes and a short quiz; each unit ends with a test, and the course ends with a final exam.
